Process Calibration

Calibration to achieve the look you desire

Film – Camera – Scanning

Why should you calibrate your process?

Shooting film gives endless opportunities to achieve the look you desire with out the need of too much editing on your computer. With a digital camera you have to create your look by post processing in software or creative settings in camera

With analog photography you can create your preferred look by simply changing the film or even just the film’s ASA. My processing and scanning is tweaked until you are happy with the results. This means there is no limit to your creativity!

  • This is for all film types. Black & White and also colour. Negatives and positives/slides.

Who should calibrate their process?

Technically every one! But let us be practical. If you can relate to any  three or more of the following, then you should seriously consider calibrating your process:

  • You will be shooting film on a regular basis.
  • You will be using the same camera most of the time.
  • Is your camera a very old model?
  • Your camera is considered to be a professional model.
  • There is a particular look or style you want to achieve.
  • A project you want to work on will be shot on film.
  • You want to achieve an artistic look or style.
  • The conditions you will be shooting in are uncommon. Example: Mid day in summer. Night events were light will be very low.
